KiliFortune Expeditions is a Tanzanian-owned trekking and safari company based in Moshi, at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Since 2017 we've been guiding climbers, safari travellers, and honeymooners across every corner of northern Tanzania.
From porter's boots to a family-run outfit.
Our founder started on Kilimanjaro the way many young Tanzanians do, as a porter carrying loads for other people's expeditions. Ten years and a hundred summits later he was leading them.
In 2017, with a small team of guides and cooks he'd trained alongside, he registered KiliFortune Expeditions in Moshi. The idea was simple, run the trips the way we wished they'd been run for us, fair wages, small groups, good food, and honest safety standards.
Nine years later we're still Tanzanian owned, still based in Moshi, and still guided by the same principle. Every summit is a joint effort between you and the crew.

Non-negotiable.
Founded in Moshi by mountain guides born on the slopes. Every dollar you spend stays in the country that raised us.
Private departures by default. You'll know your lead guide's name and phone number before you land in Kilimanjaro.
KPAP-aligned wages, three meals a day on the mountain, proper gear. The people carrying your camp are the reason you reach the summit.
Twice-daily oximeter checks, emergency oxygen on every climb, and guides who know when to turn a group around.
